Having never done this before myself but I think I'm due, why would Dicor not work everywhere if it is so good for the roof?

RE: The criminal mind (or lack thereof)

I'm sorta disappointed :(. No one has made a guess at the profession of my friend. I'll even give you a hint: he's NOT a lawyer.....
Cop, cab driver, prosecutor, prison guard, crook?

RE: Dish Network customer svc bad !

I'll stick with Cable One. They speak English and if I have a problem a tech comes the same day. My only complaint is the very limited choices for pay per view movies. But my computer is FAST. :B

Great trip!!!
I've never seen an S&S like that. Is that factory or did someone do a "make over" on all the front windows?

RE: "Must have" for Summer

They also have fish and dogs here.
I was following the fish down the road the other day and the car next to me almost rear ended the car in front of him watching that stupid fish. :E

RE: New Truck Decision

Save that 40 grand for diesel and travel like crazy!! :B
My Dodge is going to my grave with me but if I was interested in a new truck in the near future I would wait a couple three years. They have to knock off this senseless horsepower war and go to something with less power and better fuel mileage. You could still pull the grades at the speed limit with much better mileage. JMHO :)

RE: 2007/2008 S&S camper ?'s

I have the 04 in my sig. Bought it new. LOVE IT!! I have owned several campers and the S&S is second to none!! They are built stout and insulated well. Make sure you have enough truck!!

RE: SRW to DRW

Went from 01 2500 Ram to 05 3500 DRW Ram (same engine) with same camper. Handles like a sports car in camparison!! The wider stance of a dually makes a more stable platform. Period.

RE: Portable Boats

Thank you all for all the responses. I made up my mind and made a purchase today. There are some very very nice boats out there but with big price tags. Since this boat will never see anything bigger than a beaver pond I went the inexpensive route. Fish Master 325. I got it from the local Army Navy Store on sale for $100 off so I added oars, small battery and an electric motor. I'll let you know how it works out later next month. Thanks again......DJ

RE: Who makes the best truck camper?

I have owned Cascade, Northland and Caribou, all pretty good campers. I bought an S&S new in 04. It is by far the best camper I have ever owned. I have no doubt this camper will take me through the rest of my camping years. I have looked at several other brands at RV shows and still stand by my opinion that S&S takes a back seat to none.

RE: Portable Boats

I thought you just got a new boat?
I did!!! But it is too big for some of the ponds I'd like to fish. Too much vegetation to fish from the bank!! :)

RE: Trip Summary . . . just a few gotchas . . .

I can only comment on one problem. I use a few ounces of baby oil in the holding tank. Keeps the walls slick and clean and the sensors, although none are completely accurate all the time, working fairly well. It also keeps the seals soft.
Where are the trip pictures?? :B

Portable Boats

I had made up my mind for an Instaboat but now Camping World has removed them from their order site.
I guess a PortaBoat would work but I hear they are horribly expensive. I have to send them my name, rank, serial number and skivvy size before they will even quote me a price!! :?
So now I am reduced to a blow up boat. Are there any out there that work any better than trying to paddle around in a truck innertube?? And will still fit in a TRUCK CAMPER? Thanks.......DJ
